Salam Veiled Besties! 

Summer 2026 in New York City has been the greatest yet; non-stop event after event! I know the girlies’ calendars were filled with fun, but on June 6, 2026, Veiled Visionaries hosted something truly special: we collaborated with Salmalita for the Skin First: A Beauty Experience event at a sleek, beautiful loft right off Madison Ave. 

Our wonderful Muslimah’s joined us for an intimate day centered around makeup, skincare, confidence, and connection. Veiled Visionaries is all about community and we never want any of our girls feeling lonely at an event; we want everyone to know they have a supportive and welcoming community behind their back. There was a lot of mingling, laughter, and new friendships made left and right. 

We were so honored to partner with Salmalita, a brand that bridges skincare and makeup all in one. Co-founded by Dr. Omer Ibrahim, a dermatologist, and Rolle Ronquillo, a biologist, the brand’s unique name carries a heartwarming story - it’s a combination of their mothers names, Salma (Dr. Ibrahim’s mother) and Lita (short for Estrellita, Ronquillo’s mother). 

During the interactive masterclass, we took a holistic approach to beauty and self care. Exploring how healthy skin creates the perfect foundation for flawless makeup. The topics included acne, hyperpigmentation, skin health, active ingredients, skincare mythbusters, and everyday techniques. The experience was designed to educate, empower, and connect. We shared expert insights, had engaging conversations, enjoyed hands-on learning and of course played with plenty of products. 

Finally, it wouldn’t be a Veiled Visionary event with a little  ✨extra ✨ love, everyone left with a fabulous goody bag!
